Kent State Survey • Kent State has asked us to send this survey to our distribution list. • Message from Kent State • Kent State University has been funded to study, collect, and then build apps for special education.  Our very first step is to get a deeper and broader understanding of the current use of apps in special education.  We have created a survey that we are sending to parents, general education teachers, special education teachers, therapeutic professionals, administrators, teacher education students, and instructional technology personnel.  We would be indebted if you would be willing to spend 10-15 minutes helping us with this important topic by taking the survey. • When we are finished building the website that highlights apps for use in special education, we will share the URL so that this free resource can be used by schools.

Important: Server Move • NEOnet will be moving our ProgressBook Suite servers to Software Answers • We will be down from Dec 22nd at 4pm to Dec 28th by the end of day. • *The Gradebook & SPS applications will be unavailable for Summit Academy and Cambridge schools beginning at 8:00 AM on 12/21. • If you would like to participate in testing the new server, dates have been posted to our website. • Please sign up there & tell us what time you are coming in the comment section.

  7. DASL Release 15.0.0 • Student Contacts Summary • All contacts move over to the Gradebook & Special Services Live • The primary contact flagged with the yellow star is the contact that will default in Student Properties as the Parent Name/Address.

Sps Release 15.0.0 • Student Properties • Contacts will now read live from DASL • Parent Name • Primary defaulted to display • However drop down selection available if additional contacts are available • Address will automatically display once contact selected • Phone information will automatically display once contact selected • If in Contact StudentInformation is using a phone type • Home • Work • Cell • If additional phone types are available, user must select from the drop-down

  18. Sps Release 15.1.0 • District Banks • The District Banks are located on the Admin Tab. • You must have the role of School Administrator to edit the banks.

Sps Release 15.1.3 • Defects Resolved • The District and User Banks now display in alphabetical order and collapse when leaving a form. • When using Create from Prior the Meeting Date from the original task continued to populate the Meeting Date on the Special Education Events Form and caused EMIS Extract issues.  This has now been corrected. • The IEP Summary had an error If a student we was missing a primary contact.  This has now been corrected.

  21. DASL Release 15.1.6 • Special Education Import (SpS) • New Run Options of Student Next Generation Assessment (GN) and Student End of Course Exam (GE) have been added to the Special Education Import (SpS) screen. • Use these options to import the accommodation values from the GE and GN records • Generated from the special services application.

  22. Sps Release 15.2.0 • Manage Banks • Setup > Manage Banks • Teacher may manage their own personal banks from the Setup tab • Directed to IEP by default

Sps Release 15.2.0 • Page Edit • Pages that do not have Rich Text fields no longer display a blank top margin • If clicking in a field with Rich Text field however changes were not made • The user is not longer prompted to save when exiting the page • When you edit a Bank Item on the My Banks window from the page edit screen and click Add to Form • If the user did not save prior to Add to Form, the user will now be prompted to save

Sps Release 15.2.0 • Resolved Issues • Page Edit • The My Banks window from the page edit screen, if you had not saved your changes in a bank item, then selected a different Bank Item in the drop-down list • A new item displayed instead of the item you selected • This has been corrected • Page Edit • If a user with multiple staff accounts in GradeBook, tied to the same CentralAdmin account • The user would notice duplicate bank items on the page edit screen • This has been corrected • Defect 10342 • Defects • Increase Timeout on the EMIS Extract Page • Fix Duplicate Bank items for users with multiple staff accounts.

Sps Release 15.2.2 • This release fixes a defect #10585 with the following items: • Completed Tasks missing Event Date • IEP Summary missing Goals, Objectives, Services, and Testing Data, *Please note: This release was installed Wednesday 12/9/2015 after printing and is not included in your notes.

  30. Training • Back ups • NEOnet keep 45 days in daily backups • NEOnet keeps monthly backups • On July 1st NEOnet backs up the entire year. • Please note: We are going to start keeping the monthly backups a little longer after the year rolls over due to so many deleted tasks.

Training • Create from prior/existing • All users should know how to do this • Copies are created for many reasons as follows: • to create a new task and copy from a previous task, because some of the data is still valid • To Create Progress Reports from an IEP task type • To amend an RIEP/IIEP to an AIEP • To fix errors in text entered • To fix errors with EMIS Reporting • To correct incorrect template choice • To fix errors with the IEP Summary

  34. Training • Testing Page • The testing page does not have a place to mark students exempted from the consequences of End of Course exams currently • Districts will need to note this in the textbox below the drop down box as shown below

Sps Special Services Meetings • Special Services Meetings • February 26, 2016 –weather permitting • May 6, 2016 All User Meetings are held from 9:00 – 11:00 at NEOnet in Room A Please register online for all trainings and meetings on the NEOnet website Agendas will be sent out before the meeting. • ProgressBook Suite Retreat • Everyone is invited to the ProgressBook Suite Retreat to be held on April 18th & 19thin Columbus. More information will be sent out later.
