  5. Mac & Safari 9.1 • It has been recently discovered that the latest version of the Safari browser, version 9.1, exhibits some unexpected behavior when working in the ProgressBook SpecialServices application that can make users think that they have lost data. • Also, once they create a bank, the hyperlink to add it to a form does not work.  • The ProgressBook Suite supports Safari v6.2 on Mac OS X Mountain Lion (v10.8) and Safari v7.1 on Mac OS X Mavericks (v10.9).  • ProgressBook does not currently support Safari v9.1.  • Software Answers recommend use of one of our supported browsers,

  21. Sps Release 16.0.0 • Resolved Issue • View Completed Tasks • (D9811) Previously, if you added forms to an open task, completed the task, and then viewed it from the View Completed Tasks screen, the additional form(s) displayed at the end of the task instead of where you inserted them. Now, under the same circumstances, the forms display where you inserted them.

  22. Sps Release 16.1.0 • Default School Year • Open Task • EMIS Module • Testing Dates • Resolved Issues • Report Builder • EMIS Module • Open Tasks • D2D

  23. Sps Release 16.1.0 • Default School Year • When creating new tasks, the school year now defaults to 2016-2017. • The 2012-2013 has been removed. • When running the EMIS Review and EMIS Extract the default dates are 07/01/2016 to 06/30/2017.

  24. Sps Release 16.1.0 • Testing Page • The 2018 testing dates have been added to each subject area in the Date of Test dropdown lists.

  25. Sps Release 16.1.0 • Software Answers • Q: The testing page needs some kind of revision.  The Reading (ELA) is required to be administered twice in an Academic year; at the beginning of the school year (fall) and also at the end of the school year (spring) per the ODE.  You cannot enter this data on the Testing Page twice.  Yes, you can create another testing page, but  if an IEP crosses two school years, then you would need at the very least three testing pages, maybe four.  HS is still reporting both OGTs and EOC and these can cross two years too. The Data Collection Form only shows two sets of tests.  In training this is causing quite a bit of confusion.   Is there a way to have multiple testing dropdowns on the form so that the users do not have to create so many pages. • A: We will have to take a look and see if there is some way we could let them enter multiple records in this case.  I know we’ve been waiting on guidance and a form change but we still haven’t heard anything about those coming so we will take a look if there is something we can do in the meantime.

  26. Sps Release 16.1.0 • Resolved Issues: Reports • The Accommodations Report will now run correctly. • Previously it was erroring out when text exceeded the 255 characters in the Area column. • The EMIS Related Services Report no longer times out. • Previously you received a report builder timeout notification. • The Due Date report now works correctly for manually created case management classes as a teacher. • Previously it only worked when run as an administrator.

  27. Sps Release 16.1.0 • Resolved Issue: EMIS Module • The EMIS Extract screen is now using the State Student ID. • Previously it was using social security numbers and sometimes district ids. • The Disability category for a student on a 504 Plan is now correct *Not applicable. • Previously in some districts the EMIS Extract file was entering a random disability code for students on a 504 Plan. We had one district that encounter this last spring.

  28. Sps Release 16.1.0 • Resolved Issues: Open Tasks • The outcome id on the Special Ed Events page now displays all the text. • Previously it only showed a partial code. • The Disability Start Date will only show on the Data Collection Form when the disability category changes. • Previously it showed regardless of a change. • District Banks item display correctly. • Previously some items incorrectly remained selected which cause the District Bank item not to display on the Quick Task Menu.

  29. Sps Release 16.1.2 • Resolved Issues • Users with access to multiple districts will now see the districts sorted alphabetically by District Login id. • Previously they were sorted alphabetically by district name. • WebHelp now loads without error. • Previously access was limited. • District to District transfer limits have been extended. • Previously many of the ETRs were too large and had to be transferred separately. • The Task Queue now loads more quickly • Previously the load was inconsistent based on the filters selected.

  30. Training • NIEP Code - DASL • The NIEP Code should be reported as follows: • Beginning date of service • Not necessary to add an end date • Create a TIEP or RIEP in the normal timeline. • Manually added in DASL

  31. Training • Unlock Forms • Forms are now locked and unlocked using the Action button in an Open form. • By Default all forms are unlocked • Checked means the form is locked with the exception of users with an Administrative override. • To unlock you must open the form, select Actions and click unlock.

  32. Training • Admin – District Defaults – Progress Report Codes • Progress Report Codes can be set for IEPs and Service Plans • These will only show on any new Progress Reports created.

  33. Training • 504 Evaluation & Plan • Data can only be copied from a Completed 504 Evaluation to a 504 Plan. • Copying from an Open 504 Plan is not working and is Defect #11397 • The software developers are looking to fix soon • The work around is to use the Copy Info feature and copy date to each text box.

  34. Future Enhancements • Reporting • My districts would like the ability to create a report out of Special Services for all fields using Open or Closed Tasks.  They feel they are just too limited with these can reports.  Is this in development??? • We are working on plugging the new report writer that is in SIS into the rest of the suite this year including SpS.  This will allow us to provide reports like this where they can do a lot more customization as to what gets pulled onto the report and choose more fields.

  35. Future Enhancements • Electronic Signature • My districts are asking to have the ability to sign the forms electronically online.  They are also willing to purchase whatever device(s) needed to do this.  Is this in development??? • This is one of the items that is on the list and being worked on this year for the 17.0 release.

  36. Future Enhancements • Posting to Parent Access • Districts are wondering when this will become available.  As more and more of the districts are relying on online notification and less printing, they would like to post tasks to Parent Access. • This isn’t on the immediate list for this year but is on the roadmap to get done.  I have heard this a lot from other districts as well and is something that we definitely want to get done.

  37. Future Enhancements • Task Queue • When an Admin looks to see what is being created in the district on the Task Queue at a glance, there is a limit of only 50 instances and no next button.  Is this in development??? • We don’t have this on the development list currently but we’ll get an enhancement in for it as I can see how that would be helpful for the admins.  Would they want a new status on the task queue to sort by, maybe a created since date?
