  1. Reports on our ILC studies Nobuchika Okada The 3rd general meeting of the ILC physics working group @ KEK, Nov. 10, 2007 We, Keisuke Fujii & Hitoshi Hano &Tamaki Yoshioka (Experiment) Hideo Itoh & N.O. (Theory), are working on ILC Physics, in particular, Higgs boson related physics

  2. A class of New Physics Models which have some impacts on Higgs Phenomenology Hidden New Phys. Standard Model messenger After integrating out heavy ``messenger’’ (or messenger can be just an effective cutoff) Candidate of New Particles: scalar, fermion, vector, tensor

  3. Target of our study  scalar X: scalar, SM singlet ILC study is possible Comments: How can we get ?  for example, brane world scenario Extra-dim Planck scale, Effective cutoff of LEEF (Randall-Sundrum models) Why ``X’’ ?  X plays an important role in NP singlet in NMSSM, radion, Polonyi?, …..

  4. Possible OPs: • mixing with Higgs boson, X-h-h Mixing with Higgs boson, X-h-h, X-h-h-h, X-h-h-h-h top loop W loop  Higgs like  NOT like Higgs  Not important for light fermion

  5. Our study: X –gauge -gauge 1) X-glue-glue, X-gamma-gamma like Higgs 2) X-W-W, X-Z-Z not like Higgs (1) similar to Higgs but huge enhancement In SM, no tree level coupling, loop suppressed For X, higher dimensional OP, but tree level Comparable for 10 TeV 

  6. Branching ratio is very much different Result for universal coupling

  7. (2) Coupling manner In SM, Higgs mechanism  mostly couples to longitudinal modes X couples to mostly transverse modes X or h productions @ ILC Higgs

  8. Current bound on X • X strongly couples to gluons & photons Strong constraint from Tevatron Higgs search trough two photon decay mode Merrana & Wells, PRD 63 015006 (2000) gluon fusion  h  gamma gamma Tevatron Run II For mh=120 GeV Far below the line

  9. Example of parameter set consistent with Tevatron bound Sample: For 48% 42% 10%

  10. Realistic Monte Carlo Simulation Associate X production @ ILC Interesting things to see and to compare to Higgs boson Angular distribution of Z, photon Polarization of Z, Two photons in the final state, Less bb in the final state, etc Our analysis is applicable to Anomalous Higgs Branching Ratio etc.

  11. Similar model exist h-A-A in NMSSM A almost massless But, observed as one photon h with large photon branch.

  12. X production • h production • two photons

  13. and more….. This work is going to be finalized..... We will be done, hopefully, in Dec. Then, move to next…
