Performance Assessment of Optical Networks with CDMA

This study presents a new methodology for evaluating optical DS/CDMA systems and discusses the impact of dispersion on system performance. Comparative analysis of prime codes and orthogonal codes' sensitivity to fiber length is provided. Simulation results show the importance of selecting codes based on dispersion tolerance for optimal performance. A developed simulator demonstrates a robust system operating at high speeds with minimal penalty.
