  1. Aspen Conduct Referrals Using Aspen to document and submit student referrals

  2. Why? You may ask yourself why do this? • ease of use • saves time and paper • recorded documentation of incidents • allows for easy storage and retrieval

  3. What do I do? Once logged into Aspen you will need to have the tasks initiated. To do this you must select preferences in the upper right hand corner.

  4. Once in the settings window • Click on the home tab. • Then make sure tabs is checked.

  5. Initiating a Referral in Aspen • At the bottom left you will see a tasks bar. • Click initiate

  6. Do not select the snapshot button!

  7. Remember:If writing a referral with multiple students involved. Do not mention other students by name. ***Parents will be notified via email and will be able to read these as well.

  8. Click finished when done. • You can always select the go back button.

  9. FINISHED • There is a way to see completed tasks. In the same tasks bar on the pages screen select detailed view. • This will call up all of your tasks completed in Aspen. • Once there you can select the referral from a list. • After selecting the referral to edit you may click on the pencil icon to edit your referral. • Remember all changes must be saved by selecting the “Save” button. If not the original referral remains.
