Academic Assessment • Needs Practice • Strengths • Strong senior class who looks after one another. • Involved Company Academic Advisor • Put an emphasis on class/studying over guard duty. • Weaknesses • High number of D’s and F’s. • Academic Carelessness among certain cadets • Involvement of Junior and Sophomore leaders 4

Academic Pillar Strategy • Quarterly academic counseling with AO • Follow up with a plan of action to improve grades. • Incentive Plan • Academic performance merits/overnights • Knobs • Emphasis on how important grades are and how it will affect entire cadet career/future. • Provide information for tutors/academic support center. 6

  7. Military Assessment • Needs Practice • Strengths • Few major negative performance reports/violations • Weaknesses • Parade (11th to 9th) • Formations are too relaxed • MRIs 7

  9. Military Pillar Strategy • Trust, but verify. • Staff Meetings (XO, Supply SGT, Staff) • Form an MRI schedule/roster amongst leadership • Late to formation start with push-ups then CAS • 1SGT conducts weekly meetings • Company Training Meetings (CO, XO, 1SG, PLs, PSGs) 9

Character Assessment • Strengths - Positive attitude among the people - Everyone looks out for each other - I see people actually going out of their way for people - No hatred between athletes and cadets • Weaknesses - Rising Junior will have a lot of the strong classmates taking higher up leadership positions not in company 10

  12. Character Pillar Strategy • Keep HA team in the loop when problems occur and let them tackle certain issue first. As well the leadership that needs to know. • Company Events • Communication (don’t be the last one to find out) • Try to include everyone. (Do not single people out) 12

  13. Physical Effectiveness Assessment • Strengths • Best we’ve ever been in intramurals • Knob, Sophomore, and Senior classes very interested in intramurals • PT scores are strong, only one failure • 5th in intramurals • Weaknesses • Junior class not so active in intramurals 13

  15. Physical Effectiveness Pillar Strategy • Train new Athletic Officer in important areas • Try and get the rising senior class to take leadership in intramurals • Continue working hard at morning PT • Continue to encourage PT outside of regimental 15
