  5. I. THE FACT – “YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED” For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; (Ephesians 2:8)

  6. I. THE FACT – “YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED” Perfect, Passive, Indicative Perfect tense – points to past action with continuous results.

  7. But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:4-7)

  8. I. THE FACT – “YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED” Perfect, Passive, Indicative Perfect tense – points to past action with continuous results. Passive voice – something done toyou. Indicative mood – mood of reality – It really happened!

  10. KNOWLEDGE Intellect – The mind understands. • So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. (Romans 10:17)

  11. APPROPRIATION Emotions – the heart desires and pursues. • You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone. (James 2:24)

  12. COMMITMENT The will acts. • By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. (Hebrews 11:7)

  18. What’s God’s Greatest Masterpiece “Workmanship” comes from the Greek word “poema” from which we get our word “poem”. It indicates a work of art or a masterpiece.

  19. The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. (Psalm 19:1 ESV)

  20. In the same way God has made the universe and it exists as a result of “His making” we are His “Workmanship”

  21. We were born twice: • Physical For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well. (Psalm 139:13 & 14)

  22. We were born twice: • Spiritual Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’(John 3:7) For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. (Romans 8:14)

  24. III. THE PLAN – “CREATED… FOR GOOD WORKS”

  25. They are God’sworks. • They are a lifestyle. Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called. (Ephesians 4:1)

  26. I knelt to pray when day was done, And prayed, "Lord, bless everyone; Lift from each heart the pain, And let the sick be well again.” And then I woke again one day, And carelessly went on my way; The whole day long I did not try To wipe a tear from any eye.

  27. I did not try to share the load Of any brother on the road; I did not even go to seethe sick man just next door to me. Yet once again when every day was done, I prayed, "Lord, bless everyone.” But as I prayed to my ear Came a voice that whispered dear, ’Pause, hypocrite, before you pray;

  28. Whom have you tried to bless today? God’s sweetest blessings always go, By hands that serve Him here below.’” And then I hid my face and cried, "Forgive me Lord, for I have lied; Let me but live another day, And I will live the way I pray.” - Anonymous
