  1. Research Myths and Legends From your home country. • Your task this week for homework and is to create an information booklet and make a presentation about various myths and legends from your home country. It will be pasted in your IPC book. • - What stories are there? • -Where are these stories from? • - When are these stories from? • - What was the purpose of these stories? • - What was the history behind these stories? • These questions should be covered by the booklet and the presentation • Remember, myths and legends are normally important for similar reasons across the world – but remember the differences between myths and legends. • The booklet should be completed on A4 paper and include a mixture of pictures and writing. The maximum font size (excluding titles ) is 12. • The presentation should use powerpoint or prezzi.com • Your booklet can be a mixture of computer or handwritten work. • The task is due in on Friday. • It is up to you which myths and legends you research. You can ask your parents to help if you want as they may have many ideas on which myths and legends to focus on. Remember, you should, by the end of the week, be an expert; especially on the importance of these myths and legends for your country. • The task should be organised into various chapters. (in your booklet and presentation)Below is a guideline you may wish to follow. Remember, plan carefully when you will do what. • Introduction – to introduce the topic to the reader. What is the booklet about? What will the reader find out about from reading your booklet? What do you intend to cover? • Information on your country – Where are these myths/legends from? What are they about? Why are they important? What do they mean to the people of this country? How did they develop? • List of myths and legends – Perhaps you could provide a list of different myths and legends that originate from your home country. • Case Study – You could then focus on one specific myth or legend – • What is the story? Retell the story in your own words. • Analyse the story – what is it really about? What was the purpose? What does it mean? The truth behind the story? • Conclusion – what do you think should go in the conclusion. • As usual, think about design. The little features which will move it from very good to exceptional!
