  2. Endangerment, chance of extinction • The bobcat overall has a low chance of becoming extinct • on the International union of conservations scale the bobcat is considered as one of the least concerned animals because their population is slowly increasing but it is enough to make them not very severely endangered.

  3. Habitat • My animal is the bobcat. It lives in North America from southern Canada to Northern Mexico, they have been forced farther north in Canada because of global warming. • Their habitats include forests, swamps and deserts. Where bobcats can be found

  4. Carnivorous eating habbits • They typically eat rabbits, rodents, ground birds and even small deer. Bobcats have also been known to eat peoples pets.

  5. Reproduction • Bobcats reproduce about once a year • their breeding season is in early spring. • After a gestation period of 60-70 days, a female will give birth ranging from one to six kittens. Younger bobcats stay with their mother for up to eight months.

  6. What is being done/ what we can do • The Defenders of wildlife have teamed up with the EPA to monitor and protect their natural habitats also their behaviors to help them to protect them. • A couple things we can do to protect the bobcat is to not shoot them for pelts, or meat. • One way we can help the bobcats in our community is raise money in a bake sale or by doing some fundraiser where you sell things.
