THE VOTING PROCESS • Each December nominations ballots are mailed to members and must be returned by January to Pricewaterhouse Coopers, an accounting firm. • Each respective category selects nominees (e.g. editors vote for Best Film Editing etc.) • All members can vote for Best Picture after selecting from their respective categories. • Final nominations are announced in the third week of January each year. • Final ballots are mailed in late January. They must be returned a week before the ceremony.
