Mobile Service Delivery Objectives • Improve the quality of products delivered and customer decisions by enabling the employee to have all the tools, data and guides available in the field. • Reduce the number of trips to the customer’s locations, number of customer trips to the agency office and the number of meetings with customers.

Future Vision In the future, an NRCS employee will be in the field with a suite of integrated tools and data on a tablet computer with a wireless connection to a GPS, data and other information. The employee will begin an inventory and the system would pre-populate the electronic "form" with the information for that site/area such as location, soils, vegetation, elevation, landform, remote sensing analysis...data they had loaded from the warehouse. They would complete the inventory or assessment and upload the data to the warehouse. A field conservationist would use some of the same inventory and warehouse functionality along with Toolkit for planning. NRCS is bringing experts in each field together to outline the requirements for integration of mobile data collection with the Data Warehouses.
