The Education Imaging System (EdIS) at the Hong Kong Institute of Education, initiated in 1997, serves as a comprehensive digital library. It manages a variety of electronic media, including text, images, audio, and video. The system supports advanced searching and indexing in both English and Chinese. EdIS has undergone multiple phases, with Phase I focusing on digitizing items like newspaper clippings and exam papers, while Phase II enhances multimedia searching and archives integration. This project, in partnership with IBM, highlights innovations in digital management for educational resources.
