CHARACTERISTICS OF CROATIAN COSMETIC INDUSTRY PRODUCTION • Dependence on import of row materials • Competition from European and other international producers on small Croatian market • Gradual orientation of big national producers on basic products (cleaning products, cosmetics,..) • Quality of national producers, big and small, and their products is well known on Croatian and neighbouring markets. That is supported with a number of national and international awards

THE EUROPEAN COSMETICS MARKET 2012 • the European market represented almost one-third of the global cosmetics market • worth EUR 72 billion (USA 59 bn EUR, Japan 30 bn EUR ) • Europe remains the largest producer of cosmetics • the European cosmetic industry continues to grow; latest estimate predict an increase of 0,8% over 2012.
