  3. What are some differences between the food in Russia than America?

  4. Notes • For lunch A.K.A “Dinner” (That’s what they call lunch in Russia) is the most heavily eated meal of the day • There is an appetizer, main course, and a desert which is common fruit. • Fun fact: In Russia they call watermelon “arbuz.”

  5. More Notes • In every meal they have very large potions except desert which is usually fruit. • Russians put veggies in almost every meal but most kids in America hate veggies. • Also a very popular drink in Russia is tea, any type of tea!

  6. Does Russia have any traditions and if so, what are they?

  7. Notes • A Russian tradition for breakfast is porridge because it is easy and quick! • Soup usually starts the meal as an appetizer • Popular meat traditions include, beef, goulash, stroganoff, pork chops, and goose with apples.

  8. More Notes • Caviar is a well known food tradition but, very expensive! (even in America!) • Russians like to eat “borshet” which is a soup made from beets and served with sour cream or cheese on top.

  9. Resources….... • Lets give a special thanks to: Internet, Books , and The Encyclopedia,!!!!!!!

  10. About the author My name is LAP and I’m in the fourth grade and I go to Oak grove elementary. I have a brother and a sister that are older than me. They are my whole reason why I did my research topic, because they were adopted from Russia and I never really knew much about Russia. I love fashion and volley ball! I also have Mom, Dad and a sweet dog named Maggie. Now I know a lot more about Russia’s culture and history about food!
