  3. WHAT IS SYNERGY? • Synergy is the process whereby two or more products are used to promote each other. For example, a hit film making associated products desirable and at the same time the merchandises helping to keep the film in the public’s eye.

  4. EXAMPLES OF SYNERGY: The film promotes the DVD and any other merchandises . Simultaneously, the merchandises promote the film. This keeps people interested in the film in different ways. It also supports the film by buying the merchandises and it can make people want to watch the film.

  5. WHAT IS CONVERGENCE? • Convergence is assembling different telecommunications in the media. For example, telephone systems , television, radio and newspaper.

  7. WHAT IS INTERACTIVITY? • It is a two way communication and in the context of NMT’s means content that is reactive to the audience’s choice’s.

  8. WHAT IS GLOBALISATION? • Globalisation is the process in which any organisation extends its operations across a number of different countries.

  10. WHAT IS CROSS MEDIA OWNERSHIP? • When one organisation owns a specialist product such as newspapers, and then expands and buys another media related business like a television channel.
