  1. Carbon Footprints

  2. What Is A Carbon Footprint ?? Your Carbon Footprint shows the measurement of the amount of Carbon Dioxide you release into the atmosphere. You release Carbon Dioxide (Greenhouse Gas) when your doing things like driving a car or just generally using electricity at home. Activities such as these release Carbon Dioxide into our atmosphere and damage the world we live in. Carbon Dioxide is released when fossil fuels are burned. We burn fossil fuels when we are watching TV or charging are mobile phones, etc. The three main fossil fuels are oil, coal and gas.

  3. How To Calculate Your Carbon Footprint?? As I have said before your Carbon Footprint is the measurement of the amount of Fossil fuels you burn. The pointsbelow are examples of how you can calculate your Carbon Footprint. • How much you drive your car • Using electricity • The food that you eat • How energy efficient your home is • Whether or not you recycle • How you dispose of your household waste

  4. How Do You Reduce Your Carbon Footprint?? Cut down on the amount of fossil fuels you burn daily. Most people take car everywhere they go and that becomes a problem because you are releasing a lot of carbon dioxide when you drive. You could go on a bicycle instead of the car and just cycle to where ever you want to go. Or if the journeys not TOO far you could just walk. Another idea is to get in car with someone else that way you are releasing less Carbon. The easiest thing to do is get an electric car and although these cars may not be fashionable and are expensive they help the world you live in.

  5. How Do You Reduce Your Carbon Footprint?? Save energy in your home At home we usually are watching TV, or have the light on, or heating up our home, or are heating up water and all these things need electricity. To reduce the amount of fossil fuels you are burning you can buy energy saving light bulbs. And you can unplug energy sources once you have finished using them.

  6. How Do You Reduce Your Carbon Footprint?? Recycling. It is so easy to recycle but hardly any one ever does it. Just taking that extra mile by putting your plastic and paper in a recycling bin instead of a rubbish bin can help a lot. If one person does that it may not seem like a big thing, but if someone across the road sees you putting your plastic into a recycling bin that could influence them and that person could tell their friends about that, and they could tell their friends and before you knew it the whole country is recycling.

  7. My Carbon Footprint. When I did a questionnaire to find out my Carbon Footprint it said: This shows that I need to reduce my Carbon Footprint to one so I do not damage the Earth and its atmosphere.
