  2. Location • Found mostly in tropics. • Mexico, Central South America, west coast of Central America, southern Africa, India, southeast Asia, and northern Australia

  3. Climate • Average temperature: over 20°C • Rainfall: 50cm-300cm annually

  4. Major Physical Characteristics • Precipitation- rainfall is seasonal, falling mostly from May to November. Rainfall is usually 50cm-300cm (varies) • Temperature- May to November is considered wet season, while the rest of the year is relatively dry. Temperature is usually over 20°C. • Soil- during the dry season trees shed leaves to bring nutrients back to the soil due to the lack of water.

  7. Other Info. • Tropical Seasonal Forest- has densely growing trees that loose their leaves in the dry season • Tropical Seasonal Savanna- grassland with trees in groups or by themselves dotting the landscape
