Skin diseases and disorders can significantly impact individuals, often caused by various stressors that disrupt homeostasis. Conditions such as acne, which inflames sebaceous glands and hair follicles, are prevalent during puberty and affect boys more severely. Other conditions include decubitus ulcers, or bed sores, which result from prolonged pressure and hinder blood supply in bedridden individuals. Skin cancer is also common, primarily consisting of squamous cell carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma, with melanoma being the most severe. Awareness of signs and symptoms is essential for effective treatment.
