Step 1: Domain Name • The domain name creates the address of your website. • Example: mywebsite.com • For creating a free website, you do not receive a true domain name. • Instead your address will be something like http://freesite.yourdomain.com.  In some cases, the domain may be even longer.

  4. Step 2: Web Host • A website can not exist without a web host • Web hosts are sometimes free or payable depends on what type of web host you choose. • Free web hosts are unstable, you will not receive a true domain name.

Step 3: Web Building Software • Some web hosts provide website building tools so you do not need any additional software.  It's important you find out about this before you sign up with any host. • CoffeeCup & Dreamweaver are popular web editing software programs that people use to create and maintain their sites. • HTML knowledge is required. • If you are not interesting in HTML editing, you can download HTML free templates or buy a software like CoffeeCup.

Conclusion • Making a website seems to be easy, but you have to know the importance of making one. • People make websites for their business purposes. • Other make websites for entertainment or news. • You should always come up with a plan of what to do before start making a website. • Always remember a website consists 2 things: A domain name, and a web host.
