  1. MS Announcements: Friday, August 31st Middle School Middle school students interested in middle school student council can get an application outside Mrs. Catlin’s room – room 42. Applications are due back to Mrs. Catlin no later than Sept. 12th. Apply today to be tomorrow’s Middle School leader. 2. Middle school yearbook staff applications are now available outside Mrs. Blair’s room. Completed forms are to be turned in to Mrs. Blair by next Friday, September 7th. 3. Lost & Found – glasses, watch, and calculator were found in gym, locker room, and 50’s hall yesterday. If you are missing one of these items, please come to the office to describe and claim. 4. Reminder – our first home varsity football game is tonight against Ben Logan. Students are encouraged to wear their orange and black and support the team. No footballs or other balls are allowed to be brought to the game by spectators. Reminder – NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS ON MONDAY, SEPT. 3rd and TUESDAY, SEPT. 4th!! Athletics 7th grade volleyball improved to 2-0 by defeating Cedarville. Tory Cordell was the leading scorer with 16 points, 9 aces, 4 kills. Jonni Parker added 6 aces, 6 kills. Aubrie Stillings had 5 points, 2 kills and Macy Murphy added 5 points. 8th grade volleyball improved to 1-1 by defeating Cedarville. Camille Whitcraft was the leading scorer with 14 points, 3 aces. Kiana Reames had 7 points, 2 kills and Kelby Strapp had 7 points, 4 aces. Varsity Girls Soccer Team defeated Mechanicsburg 9-0. Goals for WLS were Shonda Gieseke with 3, Melany Ward-2, Addy Hartsel, Maddie Gantz, Ashleigh Gieseke, Hailey Miller with 1 each. Savannah Marceau had 2 assists and Annika Wolfe 1. April Kelley and Alandra Cox each had a save in goal. JV Volleyball lost at Triad last night. Kylie Gilroy had 6 assists, 5 aces, 5 digs. Mollie Etgen had 7 assists, 5 kills. Varsity Volleyball defeated Triad to improve to 2-2. Rachel Loffing and Kylee Horman had 13 kills each. Jamie Peterson had 8 kills, 2 blocks, 15 digs, 3 aces. Autumn Klinger had 16 assists, 10 digs, 5 kills. Megan Etgen had 17 digs, 4 aces. Courtney Milliron had 22 digs. Varsity golf defeated Mechanicsburg 168-207. Top 4 scores for WLS were Jacob Rutan 36, Nick Sims 38, Ethan McBean 44, Casey Gay 50. Varsity boys soccer tied Botkins 1-1. Garrett Conklin scored off a Grant Burden assist. Sam Warye had 9 saves in goal.
