  3. Goals/Objectives • Understand the relationship of the existing process to the new InfoEd process • Understand how to perform basic navigation through InfoEd • Understand how to search for and interpret data in InfoEd • Understand when and how to enter data (notes) into the Communications tab

Conversion • InfoEd • NU’s solution for pre-award needs to find funding and create, track proposals • Proposal Tracking • Track all elements of the proposal and award • Proposal Development • Create, review and submit grant proposals. • SPINPlus • SPIN - Search Opportunities • GENIUS - Search Collaborators • SMARTS - Opportunity Notifications

  5. Conversion How ASRSP will use InfoEd: • Unidentified funding (e.g. bluebird) • Status History (submitted -> awarded) • Budget Data for Awards and Proposals • Approvals for IRB and IACUC • Log Notes (Communications) • View Attachments (NGA – Award docs.)

  6. Conversion • What is being converted? • All NUORISN proposal and award records associated with CUFS accounts active as of 1/1/06 • All Proposals submitted since 8/31/04 • All awards received since 8/31/04 along with any prior awards and their parent proposals • NO Notes

  7. Conversion • How is conversion happening? • For awards in NUORISN, OSR is assigning each to a parent proposal id, a subproject id and a budget year • No conversion from Subcontract Database, except a list of subcontractors NU does business with
