Engaging Music Instruction Through Classroom Instruments: Objectives and Activities
Chapter 5 of our music teaching guide focuses on the practical application of classroom instruments. Students will demonstrate their ability to play instruments through informal instructor observation. We will introduce the Kodály syllable “re” as part of melodic composition assignments. The chapter also includes strategies for classroom management and microteaching lessons, as well as improvisational activities with instruments. Remember to prepare for next Thursday by practicing 4 measures of melodic design and reading Chapter 6, which covers the recorder piece "Bagga-Lagga Whack Whack."
