Key messages – Art and Design • Has the same structure as draft documents and provides progression from National 3 to Advanced Higher • Unit tiles have changed to Art and Design: Expressive Activity and Art and Design: Design Activity • Unit Outcomes and Assessment Standards have been refined across SCQF levels to ensure progression is clearer • The Units offer opportunities for skills, knowledge and understanding to be developed and integrated throughout the Course • Added value is assessed through a practical activity at National 4 and a portfolio and a question paper at National 5 and Higher.

Key messages – Music Technology • New suite of Music Technology Courses designed to complement and be compatible with Music Courses • A revised music technology and music concept list has been produced for the Courses (National 3 to Higher) to compliment and be compatible with Music Courses • Provides progression from National 3 to Higher through deepening skills, extending knowledge of 20th and 21st century music, application of a widening range of contexts and increasingly independent working • Provides flexibility and choice of equipment which can be used, genres to be studied and contexts for application, to meet the diverse needs and interests of learners and centres • Added value to be assessed through a practical assignment at National 4 and a practical assignment and a listening paper at National 5 and Higher
