Liberty Profile • LHS Profile: • 2800 Students (9-12) • Built in 1922 / Renovated in 2009 • 5 Buildings - Klein Classroom Center, The Commons, The Lab Center, The Student Activities Center, & The Memorial Gym • 129 Classrooms – 33 Classrooms For The Future, 33 Mobile Laptop Carts, & 9 Stationary Labs.

  5. 26 Credits are required for graduation • English: 4 credits • Social Studies, Science, and Math: 4 credits (3 for Vo-tech students) • Health: 1 credit • Physical Education 2 credits • Fine & Practical Arts: 1 credit • Computer Technology: 0.5 credits • Community Service:0.5 credits • General Electives : 5.0 credits • Note: for College Bound Students 3 Credits of Foreign Language is required Graduation requirements

Freshman Center Introduction • Attention has been given to Grade 9 asa strategy to assist all students in studyskills, personal goal setting, improvedwriting skills, increasing motivationand success when starting high school,and making improvement in thegraduation rate. • The purpose of the Grade 9 Planis to use a comprehensiveapproach to the academic andstudent service needs of Libertystudents and to meet the greaterdemands for competitivegraduates.

Student Service Reorganization and Improved Orientation Process • Smaller 9th Grade case loads for counselors. • Each family will have the same counselor and assistant principal for all children in the family • Students who are retained stay with their counselor regardless of their grade. • More consistent access and delivery of student support services (college and career counseling, emotional health and D&A counseling, medical/wellness services, etc.) over a student’s four-year career. • Guidance counselors will remain connected to community and college resources annually • Increased social & community resource coordination through social work personnel at each high school. • More personalized guidance services toward life planning

Community Service • All students must complete a minimum of 60 hours of Community Service • in order to graduate. • Students who complete 135 • hours or more will be • honored at graduation with • the presentation of the • Silver cord. • May earn up to 30 hours • between 8th grade and • Freshman year

Facilities: an auxiliary gym, a state of the art natatorium, four weight training rooms, our Memorial Gym (seats 3150 people), four tennis courts, a baseball field, a softball field, practice fields, and the Frank Banko Stadium. ATHLETICS Lehigh Valley Conference LHS Teams: baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, field hockey, football, golf, rifle, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field, volleyball and wrestling field, volleyball and wrestling.

  15. A sampling of organizations include: Grenadier Marching Band, Cauldron (yearbook), Choraliers, DECA, Ecology Club, FBLA, Key Club, Latino Leadership, Liberty Life (newspaper), Liberty Theatre, SADD, Stage Crew, Student Government, and Teen Summit. GET INVOLVED!!!
