  1. What data is available for EOP students? Vanesa Morales, Educational Opportunity Programs

  2. What desegregated data is readily available for EOP students? • Is there enough data available for EOP students such a continuation, and completion rates? Or academic standing? • Is this data easily accessible through the current data sources (CSUN counts, CSUN Student Success Dashboard, EAB). Guiding Questions

  3. CSUN Counts • Characteristics, Graduations Rates, Degree Recipients, Courses, etc. • CSUN Student Success Dashboard • Cohort Comparisons, Cohort Details • Institutional Research • Specific, detailed lists, Pathways Data, etc. • EAB • Various rosters based on GPA, enrollment status, probations etc. • CSU Student Success Dashboard • Achievement Gap, Demographics, Graduation rates, Proficiency @ Entry Overview of Data

  4. There is great need for an EOP Database that can help us centralize accurate data on EOP students. For example: • EOP data in the format that is available on the CSU dashboard, so that we are able to see what courses are impacting EOP students in each college (DFU Courses). • EOP student coding based on the transitional program they’ve participated in, or if students are foster youth. • Currently, data on EOP students’ progress, GPA, academic status, enrollment status, high DFUs, etc., is not easily accessible through the existing dashboards, unless request to I&R. Findings

  5. Creating an EOP dashboard would be extremely beneficial for the purposes of identifying specific needs that this population might have. • Future EOP Data champions might want to pair up with Data champions from other colleges in order to find a focus for their research. Concluding thoughts
