  3. And another definition: • “Fashion Illustration is the communication of fashion that originates with illustration, drawing and painting. An illustrator draws and paints clothes for commercial use. It is usually commissioned for reproduction in fashion magazines as one part of an editorial feature or for the purpose of advertising and promoting fashion makers, fashion boutiques and department stores. HOW CAN YOU INCORPORATE FASHION ILLUSTRATION IN YOUR CLASSROOM? • I WOULD SUGGEST INCORPORATING IT AFTER YOU TEACH A FIGURE DRAWING LESSON. • TEACH CORRECT PROPORTIONS… • THEN HAVE FUN AND EXXAGERATE THOSE PROPORTIONS! • ELONGATE THE FORMS! GO CRAZY! SHOWCASE THE POSE AND HOW THE GARMENT LOOKS ON THE POSE.
