  9. Demographics of Survey Respondents • Predominantly female (71.2%) • Highly educated -- 91.7% have bachelor’s degree or higher • Most are age 26-35 (67.8%) – middle of YP age cohort of 21-45 • Most are single/never married (80%)

Conclusions • Lack of confidence in Social Security, but clear evidence that it is and will be important • Policy attitudes are consistent with majority of Americans • Hopefully, participation in the survey has led some to think about plans for the future & the important role Social Security plays
