  26. Mi-17MODER Full Mission SimulatorInstructor Station Mi-17MODER Mi-17MODER simulator Instructor station

  27. Mi-17MODER Full Mission SimulatorInstructor Station Mi-17MODER • Instructor Operating Station • The IOS is the main control part of the full simulator complex. • The IOS allows the instructor to control full training processes and simultaneously check correct operating of all systems. • IOS enables: • Adjusting initial parameters of the simulator • Control external parameters. • Generation of new objects in the environment. • Monitoring of aircrews training . • Monitoring instruments data and position of control elements. • Monitoring of navigation flights • Enabling/disabling of Seat-Shaking vibrations character. • Change of a ground and air situation. • Perform a full debriefing by using of next simulator functions

  28. Mi-17MODER Full Mission SimulatorInstructor Station Mi-17MODER • Main parts of the IOS: • Working desk and 1x office chair • Control computer  (in the computer rack) • LCD displays • Simulator of the radio communication (microphone + speakers) • Keyboard, mouse • Audio control box • Printer • The Instructor operating station consist of following programs: • Flash Instruments • Mi-17M program also called IOS program • 3D View • Tactical simulation • Camera Mi-17MODER simulator Instructor station

  29. Mi-17MODER Full Mission SimulatorInstructor Station Mi-17MODER • “FLASH COCKPIT”. • The instructor can see on this monitor position of all control elements and instrument values, which are the same as the instrument in the cockpit. Mi-17MODER simulator Instructor station – soft instruments

  30. Mi-17MODER Full Mission SimulatorInstructor Station Mi-17MODER • On the flight simulator we can set up main training parameters for improvement of practical flight training for example : • Selection of crew members for flight training – from a database •  Selection of flight exercises according to training methodology – from a database •  Selection of the take off airport and training area for flight training •  Selection of the daytime, or nighttime, •  Selection of weather conditions, for concrete exercise (for example – daytime, nighttime, sunrise, dusk, sunset, moonshine night or dark night, poor visibility etc. Mi-17MODER simulator Instructor station – main software

  31. Mi-17MODER Full Mission SimulatorInstructor Station Mi-17MODER • Selection and control of emergency procedures Mi-17MODER simulator Instructor station – emergency procedures

  32. Mi-17MODER Full Mission SimulatorInstructor Station Mi-17MODER • Weapon system on the IOS Mi-17MODER simulator Instructor station – weapon system

  33. Mi-17MODER Full Mission SimulatorInstructor Station Mi-17MODER • The type of the objects are divide in the different groups with these options: Force Friendly, Force Neutral and Force Opposing. • Fixed wing • Rotary wing • Ground forces • Life form • Each important area (airport, training area) of the terrain database will include 1-5 moving object, to be ready to interact with the trainee during his operation with the Mi-17MODER. 34. Mi-17MODER Full Mission SimulatorDebriefing Room Mi-17MODER • Debriefing room • Very important part of the simulator complex, mainly for IOS, is a possibility to build a special room for debriefing. This special room is intended for instructors and crew members to provide complex of debriefing after every exercise.

  35. Mi-17MODER Full Mission SimulatorDebriefing Room Mi-17MODER • Debriefing room • Debriefing room we can use mainly for regular meeting all aircrews with focus on flight safety. • During the debriefing the instructor can use all information which the simulator offer for detailed training analyses together with every crew members. • During debriefing the instructor can add short records from the recorded devices. • The debriefing room is equipped as like as the IOS. • Very important is the possibility to play running exercises of the flight during a debriefing with crew members with refer to their deficiencies, there is a very important for the moment how we can streamline all training process. • Recorded data can be used for configuration of training tasks for pilot (pupil) and can be used for the evaluation of professional progression of pilot-pupil. • Debriefing room is very important for improve the quality of flight training and perfect utilization of its devices by instructors can streamline of all flight training process

  36. Mi-17MODER Full Mission Simulator Mi-17MODER • Mi-17MODER FFS is available in Slovakia, a NATO member country • In short time will be ready also for commercial training (we are in connection with Slovak MoD, working on it) • FFS will offer any other terrain according to different customers needs • Airbase Presov will offer complete training methodology

  37. CONCLUSION Mi-17MODER • Improvement of aircrew preparation • Theoretical preparation • On the MMC • On the Special classroom • Practical preparation • On the simulator • On the real helicopter • Modernization of aeronautical techniques and simulators • Variability of flight simulators • Coordination between military and civilian ATC • FFS will offer any other terrain according to different customers needsAirbase Presov will offer complete training methodology
