Understanding Title I Comparability and Its Importance in Education Funding

The Title I Comparability Report, presented by Robert Lutringer in November 2008, outlines the concept of "comparability" as defined under NCLB. It emphasizes the essential pupil/teacher ratios, ensuring each Title I school maintains ratios within 10% of the LEA-wide average. This document serves to document compliance with Title I requirements, guiding local educational agencies (LEAs) in effective fund allocation between Title I and non-Title I schools. It also mandates annual data submission on schools with similar grade spans to maintain equitable funding.
