  6. Exchange 2008 IPY cruise on RV POLARSTERN- Antarctic: 6 February to 17 April. Barter cruise onboard FS Meteor in the Mozambique Channel, 18 January to 5 February. NIOZ team recovered and redeployed 8 moorings. 4 days barter onboard RV Discovery, mooring turn around in Irminger Sea. NIOZ is part of the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO)
