Various techniques are used to decorate apparels. Among all the techniques the two most common methods used are printing and embroidery. Embroidery is a method of adorning fabrics and clothing. It is a handicraft by which materials or fabric is decorated with needle and yarn. Some of the materials on which embroidery is done are beads, quills, pearls, sequins etc. Embroidery is seen to be done on hats, caps, blankets, coats, denim, dress shirts, golf shirts, stockings etc. You will find embroidery in an array of thread colours. Some of the popular techniques involved in embroidery are blanket or buttonhole stitch, satin stitch, running stitch, cross stitch, satin stitch etc.
