Somerset Website • Please make sure you and your child are familiar with this website www.somersetacademy.com • All class information is posted on each individual class your daughter or son is taking. • For any and all info in Mrs. Swogger’s class, please make sure to check her page regularly.

  3. Syllabus • Syllabus is located online under Mrs. Swogger’s page. What does it discuss… -Class description and Grading -Classroom Rules and Expectations -Materials -Wish List -Dance Contract (DUE AUG.30TH)

What will your child learn in Dance? • Dance Terminology • Dance History • Two or more dance forms • (Ballet, Jazz, Modern/Contemporary, Hip-Hop) • Student Choreography Projects • Flexibility and Technique • Learn choreography and how to perform in front of an audience. • Performance (2 Mandatory Performances)

  5. Uniform Fees Payments to be paid on Somerset Website under Online Payments. *Due 9/30* • Leotard $25 • Jazz Pants $35 • Dance Shirt $12 (Can be worn on Wednesdays or in Dance Class over leotard) *Orders should be in last week of September or first week of October*

  6. IMPORTANT DATES Rehearsal and Performance Days are Mandatory!! Winter Performance -TBA • Dress Rehearsal Date: February TBA • Performance Date: February TBA • Location: Walter C. Young Spring Performance • Dress Rehearsal Date: Monday, May 18th • Performance Date: Saturday, May 30th • Location: River of Grass Theatre

Performance Schedule Saturday Performance- Same Show - Two Performances • Students must arrive and check-in by 12:30 • 1st Show (Middle School Parents) 2:00pm-4:00pm • Break – Students must be back and checked-in by 5:30 • 2nd Show (High School Parents) 7:00pm-9:00pm • Tickets: $10 MORE INFO WILL BE POSTED ON THE WEBSITE IN DECEMBER
