Restoring of Class-X Board Examination • Consequent upon the decision taken by the Governing Body of CBSE, the dual scheme of examination for Class – X shall stand discontinued for students appearing in Class – X from the Academic Year 2017-18. • The examination from Academic Year 2017-18 would be conducted as per the remodeled assessment structure.   5. Periodic Test • Three Periodic written tests in the entire academic year and the average of the best two will be taken for final weightage. • Cumulative coverage of syllabus. • The gradual increasing portion of contents would prepare students acquire confidence for appearing in the Board/Annual examination with 100% syllabus. • Maximum Marks in each subject : 40 • Time allotted : 90 Minutes Dr. S. Note Book Submission [05 Marks] • Notebook submission as a part of internal assessment is aimed at enhancing seriousness of students towards preparing notes for the topic being taught in the classroom as well as assignments completion. • This also addresses the critical aspect of regularity, notebook upkeep and neatness. • Assessment to be done on monthly basis in each subject by the subject teacher i.r.o. Assignment Completion [AC], Regularity [R] and Neatness & upkeep of notebook [N]. Dr. S. BOSE

Subject Enrichment Activities [05 Marks] • Subject specific application activities aimed at enrichment of the understanding and skill development. • To be recorded internally by respective subject teachers. • To be assessed on monthly basis. • Maximum Marks : 20 • Teacher has to plan two activities per month (10 marks each) as prescribed in the CBSE Curriculum 2017-18.   12. Co – Scholastic Activities • Co-curricular activities for holistic development of the student. • Three different Areas: i. Work Education, ii. Art Education, iii. Health & Physical Education • To be graded on a 5-point scale [ A-E ] by the teacher. • No descriptive indicators. • No upscaling of grades will be done. Dr. S. BOSE

Discipline • Discipline significantly impacts career shaping and it helps build character. • Sincerity, good behavior and values develop strength and foster unity and co-operation. • Class teacher will be responsible for grading the student on a five point scale [A-E] keeping in mind the elements – Attendance, Sincerity, Behavior, Values, Tidiness, Respect for Rules & Regulations, Attitude towards Society, Nation & others etc. • For holistic assessment, the teachers are expected to make it an effective tools. Documentation • Records pertaining to the internal assessment of the students done by the school will be maintained and preserved for a period of three months from the date of declaration of result for verification at the discretion of the Board. • Cases if any involving RTI / Grievances may however be retained beyond three months. Co-Scholastic Activities (VI to VIII) • For the holistic development of the student, co-curricular activities in the following areas be carried out by the teachers and will be graded term-wise on a 3-point grading scale [ A = Outstanding, B = Very Good, C = Fair] • The aspect of regularity, sincere participation, output and team work be the generic criteria for grading in the following scholastic activities: i. Work Education, ii. Art Education iii. Health & Physical Education. • Students will also be assessed for discipline term-wise on a 3-point grading scale [ A – C ] Dr. S. BOSE
