Understanding Culture: Layers of Beliefs, Values, and Behaviors

Culture encompasses the beliefs, values, and behaviors of a people, expressed through customs and the products of their actions such as art, music, and literature. By examining these outward signs, we can delve deeper into the underlying reasons that shape a culture. Values determine what a community perceives as good, while beliefs influence those values. The worldview provides a foundational understanding of reality and identity. Just like an onion, culture has multiple layers; to fully grasp its complexities, one must explore both the visible and hidden aspects.
