La literatura medieval LA POESÍA ÉPICA • Son de autor anónimo y se transmiten oralmente. • La métrica es irregular, con predominio de versos de entre trece y dieciséis sílabas, con rima asonante. • Los temas son de tipo heroico, extraídos de la tradición o de las leyendas. • Es frecuente el empleo de fórmulas típicas de la expresión oral. • El propósito es entretener, informar • y mantener vivos los valores de la colectividad.
