  3. After several days of sightseeing in Chiang Mai the tourist would like to do some shopping Tourist: What kind of handicrafts is Chiang Mai famous for? Guide: There are lots of things for you to choose from. Chiang Mai is famous for celadon pottery, woodcarvings, silverware, Thai silk, Thai cotton, clothes, painted umbrellas, lacquer ware, hill tribe embroidery and new antiques.

  4. Tourist: I would like to buy something for home decoration. I like to decorate my home in an oriental style. Guide : Then you may like to see some woodcarvings and new antiques. Tourist: Where is the best place to buy them from?
