  7. Traffic Control (MUTCD) • Couple NPAs (Notice of Proposed Amendments) coming • Working on response to Pavement Marking Retroreflectivity NPA • Arrow-per-Lane Official Interpretation • Went live with web version “Official Rulings” database

Road Weather Management • Web-based training course on Weather-responsive Traffic Management (WRTM) - 1st half of 2012 • Workshop on WRTM strategies – to be held in conjunction with the Transportation Management Center (TMC) Pooled Fund Study (PFS) on Oct 6-7 in Portland, OR • Annual Road Weather Management Stakeholder Meeting on Sept. 7-9 in Albuquerque, NM • Under the ITS Connected Vehicle Program • Developing software to process data from vehicles and turn it into useful weather and road condition observations.  • Using observations to support State DOT MDSS & Maintenance Management System applications

Road Weather Management • Published several reports pertaining to Road Weather Management (especially WRTM) • Weather Information Integration in Transportation Management Center (TMC) Operations • Baselining Current Road Weather Information • Data Mining and Gap Analysis for Weather Responsive Traffic Management Studies (WRTM) • Traffic Analysis Tools (TAT) Volume XI – Weather and Traffic Analysis, Modeling, and Simulation • Microscopic Analysis of Traffic Flow in Inclement Weather • Clarus Quality Checking Algorithm Documentation Report • An Analysis of Temperature and Pressure Data from Connected Vehicles in the Developmental Testbed Environment
