2003-2004 ARI/AMI Funds • The final 10% of funds (if spent 100%) or the portion over 90% that you did spend • Automatically deposited in bank after September 30
2003-2004 ARI/AMI Funds • Must have submitted the following reports electronically: • 2003-04 Early Reading Instrument Report • 2003-04 Accelerated Reading Instruction/ Accelerated Math Instruction (ARI/AMI) Program Evaluation • 2003-04 ARI/AMI Final Expenditure Report by Grouping Practice/Time of Instruction (not the same as drawing down funds for reimbursement on the ER System)
Reminders • Requires RI (Reading Initiative) TEA-SE username and password to submit these reports • Need to have requested access to these 3 reports and the TPRI/Tejas Lee online ordering • Takes TEA Security approximately 2 weeks to process a request
2004-2005 ARI/AMI Entitlements • Posted on the Formula Funding webpage at http://www.tea.state.tx.us/opge/formfund/ • Districts/Charters will receive $905.84 per Grade 3 student who did not pass the reading portion of the 2004 TAKS on the first administration and… • $905.84 per Grade 5 students who did not pass the math portion of the 2004 TAKS
Use of funds… • Funds are to be used to provide immediate intervention to students in Grades K-5 who are struggling in reading and/or mathematics • Start now!
Funding… • Only 65% of the available 90% of ARI/AMI funds have been drawn down for reimbursement • If you have spent it, please draw it down • If we want continued funding, we have to demonstrate that we are using 100% of the funds
2004-2006 TPRI/Tejas Lee • Orders are currently being shipped • Order in which they were placed • 239 districts/charters have not placed orders • Administer the assessment shortly after the kits arrive
