  1. Discovering the Heart of God Part 30 Redeemer

  2. Introduction We have been looking at the heart of God. He knows all things. He is all powerful. He is holy and exercises justice. He is loving and created us to share that love. He understands our frame that we are dust. He still wants us to know and experience Him.

  3. Creation God created us so we could have fellowship with Him. The universe that God created was perfect, unfortunately Adam chose poorly and plunged creation towards chaos. Man was cut off from fellowshipping with his Creator, but God had already planned to make a way of restoration. God would be our Redeemer.

  4. The Redemptive Seed Genesis 3:15And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.” When Adam & Eve were confronted with their disobedience and removed from Eden, God made a promise to send a redeemer.

  5. The Scarlet Thread From Genesis to Revelation, there runs a theme of redemption. It begins with the Fall, centers upon the cross, and promises a glorious future for the redeemed.

  6. Through His Blood Colossians 1:13-14He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. God has delivered us from the kingdom of death, into the kingdom of His Son. This redemption is based on the reality that Jesus paid the debt for our sin through the power of His blood.

  7. Through His Blood 1 Peter 1:18-19Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. Peter declares that we were not redeemed with the corruptible things of this world, regardless of the value man has placed upon them. We were redeemed by the blood of Christ who was our perfect Passover Lamb.

  8. Can Be Found Isaiah 55:6Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. God wants us to seek Him. If one seeks God, He can be found. The world is desperately looking for belonging and meaning in life. The lost struggle under the guilt of sin. Jesus is the redeemer and able to put lives back together.

  9. My Redeemer Lives Job 19:25-26 For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth; 26And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, That in my flesh I shall see God. Despite the great sorrow and trials that Job faced, he had a great confidence that his redeemer lived. Even though he would die, he had confidence that in his flesh he would see God!

  10. My Redeemer Lives Our lives are like a broken pile of glass. We are sharp and jagged. We can inflict great pain upon others with our rough edges. One might conclude that there is little value in pieces of broken glass. Jesus picks us up one piece at a time, and gently pieces us back together. Not only does He restore us, but glues us to each other. What one person saw as broken glass, Jesus sees as a stained glass window.

  11. My Redeemer Lives It does not matter what is in your past, “Our Redeemer Lives” and no sin is too great for the power of the cross. It does not matter how hard the obstacles are that you face in life. “Our Redeemer Lives” and has promised that you will stand complete before Him one day. It does not matter what others think or say. “Our Redeemer Lives” and has declared His love for you. It does not matter if you are facing the pains of death. “Our Redeemer Lives” and has overcome the grave.
