Judd Creek Buffer Project: Enhancing Stream Ecosystems through Sustainable Stewardship

The Judd Creek Buffer Project, led by Resource Specialist Adam Jackson from King Conservation District, focuses on promoting sustainable use of natural resources through responsible stewardship. Since 2005, KCD has completed 17 restoration projects, enhancing stream ecosystems and supporting local biodiversity. This project spans 24,500 sq. ft. with a 35-foot buffer, planting 900 diverse trees and shrubs. With a project cost of $14,000 (landowner contribution of $500), it showcases community involvement through crew days and volunteer events, fostering a healthier natural environment.
