Sailing Adventures • Coral Reef Sailing – crew of 6-8 sailing on a 40+ foot vessel in the Florida Keys • Sea Exploring – crew of 18-20 on a 75+ foot schooner in the Keys • Bahamas Programs – crews of 6-8, 10-12 and 18-20 sailing in the Sea Of Abaco from Marsh Harbour, Great Abaco Island • US Virgin Islands sailing – crew of 6-8 exploring the USVI and the Virgin Islands National Park • Florida Programs available year round, Bahamas in the spring and summer and USVI in the summer only • Snorkeling, fishing, sailing and just plain fun!

Brinton Environmental Center Programs • Out Island Adventure – crews of 6-8 Spend their time snorkeling, fishing and exploring from Big Munson, our own undeveloped island in the Atlantic. • Keys Adventure – crews of 6-8 base out of the Brinton Center and go snorkeling, fishing, sailing, spend a night on Big Munson and visit Key West. • Florida Fishing Adventure – crews of 6-8 come and spend a week doing all the popular types of Keys fishing – deep sea, reef, backcountry and bridge. At the end of the week they cook up their catch!

  5. Scuba Programs Scuba Adventure – crews of 6-8 comes as certified divers and spend the week diving from one of our 46’ dive boats. Usually get in 11 dives, including a night dive (weather permitting) Scuba Certification – crews of 6-8 come and become PADI Open Water Certified divers then get a day or two of fun dives Scuba Live Aboard – crews of 10-12 certified divers spend the week on a sailboat diving up and down the reef Based out of Sea Base. All accommodations in air-conditioned dorms Dive the only living reef in North America All equipment provided

  6. STEM/Eco Adventures • Vessel Based – crews of 10-12 spend the week aboard 2 sailboats exploring the Keys ecosystems in a curriculum based program with all of the fun of a Sea Base Adventure • NEW FOR 2017 – land based STEM program for crews of 6-8 geared towards STEM Scouts. Will be on the water every day, however will be housed on “terra firma”.

  7. Ocean Adventure • Available to OA members only • 7 day program housed at the Dry Tortugas National Park – camp in the park and give service there • Individuals must be approved by local and national council • Coordinated through the Order of the Arrow at the National Office

  8. How do you register for an Adventure? • Currently in the lottery for 2017– get in now!! • Lottery for 2018 season is January 15 to February 15, 2017 • www.bsaseabase.org • Create an account. Make requests for up to eight adventure preferences. • Modify request anytime during open period. • Units will be notified by February 28th • Open registration after February 28th

Conference Center serves three groups: Divisions of the National office Council Professional and Volunteer groups Other non-profits $52 per person, per day for meals, conference room and equipment Housing costs $95 for a “hotel style” room (dbl occupancy), $27/pp in the SCUBA dorms and $22/pp in the sailing dorms. How We Can Help YOUR Council • Retention – units sign up about 18 month in advance and Scouts stay to participate • Council Contingents- an opportunity to bring Scouts from various units • NAYLE – programs are expanding to grow your youth leaders • Council Conferences- bring your team to the Keys for your next planning conference • Grow Your Future Camp Leadership – Scouts with high adventure participant or staff experience make great leadership for council camps
