  6. Course Code Explanation • 0085 – The first digit denotes the subject. • 0085 – The third digit denotes your grade. • 0085 - The fourth digit denotes your level. Course Selection

  10. Course Level Recommendations • Teachers base their recommendations on the student’scurrent performance in class. • Level changes require discussion between parent and teacher • Teachers may change their recommendation later in the year if they feel it is appropriate Course Selection

  11. Math Testing • Students in 7th grade level 5 or 6 math • Orleans-HannaAlgebra/Geometry Prognosis Test in February • Score will be factored into teacher recommendations • Current Algebra 1 Students • Keystone Exam Course Selection

  12. Requirements for Promotion to 8th Grade Students must pass all 5 major subjects • English • Social Studies • Math • Science • Reading *Summer school remediation is a must for failing one or two major subjects.
