  1. How to access Roku without Remote Roku has released an app that lets you control your Roku device directly for your smart phone. The phone and Roku stick MUST be on the same wifi network for that to work.

Download the Roku app. • When the Roku mobile app launches it will discover any Roku devices on your network.  • Select the Roku device you wish to control using your Roku mobile app. • You will now be taken to the home screen where you will be able to select your Roku device. Follow this steps to connect your Roku Device through smart phone

  4. At the bottom of the Discovery screen, click Connect Manually and enter the IP address of your Roku device. • You can check the IP address by clicking Settings > Network on your Roku device. If your device still does not appear, try the following:

  5. Restart your Roku device and make sure that it is connected to the same wireless network. • Restart your Roku mobile app On iOS devices, double click the iOS home button and then close the Roku app. Again, click on the Roku app icon to launch.

On Android devices, press the Recents button and then close the Roku app. Again, click on the Roku app icon to launch.When connecting devices to your wireless network, it may include more than one network with a similar name.
