The come from farm production (in 2000m2 field) significantly reduced to 300,000VND/year, in compared to 2,000,000VND/year in 2003-2004 • Acid rain causes the productivity reduction of 20-60% for vegetables in the field scale experiments.

Acid deposition: impacts – the situation now • In Viet Tri industrial zone, Lam Thao, Phu Tho, the bananas gardens were affected by air pollution which is majority SO2 from Lam Thao Super phosphates factory. • In 1997 gas emission due to factory’s break down damaged all farms and trees in surrounding areas (Factory compensated 80mil.VND) • Shrimp farmed in Binh Khanh, Can Gio was shocked by acid rain during two days 12-13 of May, 2003 at high ratio, especially in improved extensive farming ponds.
