Knitwear Designer Salary – £25,000 - £30,000 Potential Route GCSE Textiles A Level Textiles Design @ University Potential Route GCSE Hospitality NVQ Level 2 in Food and Drink Service, or Hospitality Service. The Role: Creating new designs. Strong sourcing skills. Complete spec sheets, design packs and range develop. Working with factories. Reporting to the Production Managers and Managing Director Skills Required: Must have knitwear knowledge. Must have at least 2 years experience working within a similar role. Full knowledge of the manufacturing process and raw materials to develop samples and ranges effectively and to cost. Ability to fully understand customer requirements. Production of design specifications suitable for factories to interpret. Must be fully PC Literate. Designing for some of the most exciting names on the high street you will need to have a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure. You will have all the resources of our in house sampling facility with the latest production machinery and experienced technicians to produce innovative samples. Their designers use yarns sourced from the best producers in Europe and Turkey and our suppliers regularly send new developments to BHM.
