  1. Module 1 FTP Task Part 1. You need an FTP client for your computer. Download and install and then explore one for your system.

  2. FTP Task • Open the link to one of the recommended FTP Clients. • Click on the Download the latest version now! [Go] button.

  3. FTP Task • Click on the Click here to download WS_FTP Home from Ipswitch’s Web site hyperlink.

  4. FTP Task • Fill in the required fields and click on the [Submit] button.

  5. FTP Task • Click on the green downwards arrow to commence the download. • Click on the [Run] button to process the download.

  6. FTP Task • Click on the [Run] button to run the Install program.

  7. Module 1 FTP Task Part 2. You are to ftp to recall.curtin.edu.au . You will use anonymous login. When there:  Look at the directory structure.  Find the file called README

  8. FTP Task • Click once on the Open a Remote connection hyperlink and the Connection Wizard Site Name action box will automatically open.

  9. FTP Task • Type [recall.curtin.edu.au] in the Site Name text box. • Click once on the [Next] button and the Connection Wizard Connection Type action box will automatically open.

  10. FTP Task • Type [FTP] in the Connection Type text box. • Click once on the [Next] button and the Connection Wizard Server Address action box will automatically open.

  11. FTP Task • Type [recall.curtin.edu.au] in the Server Address text box. • Click once on the [Next] button and the Connection Wizard User Name and Password action box will automatically open.

  12. FTP Task • Type [anonymous] in the User Name text box and type [anonymous] in the Password text box. • Click once on the [Next] button and the Connection Wizard Finish box will automatically open.

  13. FTP Task • Click on the Connect to this site box to select it. Click once on the [Finish] button and the request subdirectory will automatically open.

  14. FTP Task • Double click on the MSC sub-directory to open it.

  15. FTP Task • Locate the file readme.txt. Double click on the file name and it will automatically open.

  16. FTP Task • Click on the Close shortcut to close Notepad.

  17. FTP Task • Click on the Disconnect button to log-out of WP-FTP.

  18. Module 1 FTP Task Part 3. Download the file, look at it and answer the following question  "according to the readme file, '_______ MATTERS' – what word goes in the blank?".

  19. FTP Task • Answer: Capitalization Matters
