IPX/SPX • Novell’s networking protocol • Microsoft uses a version of IPX/SPX called NWLink • IPX/SPX uses MAC addresses; it is routable • Only routable internally; not supported on the Internet
TCP/IP • You don’t need another slide on TCP/IP. • We have done enough from the Panko Book. • Just don’t forget the layers. • All Internet stuff runs on TCP/IP • Famous Quote: TCP makes the IP go around.
