Assessment of Inter-Rater Reliability in Patient Interviewing Skills: Vignette Analysis

This study evaluates inter-rater reliability of interviewing skills among healthcare professionals using a vignette method. The results indicate fair-to-good reliability on sub-items and good reliability on major items. Average ratings for various skills were analyzed, including rapport development, appropriate responses, data collection for differential diagnosis, and mental status examination. Key findings suggest areas for improvement, particularly in obtaining sufficient data for accurate diagnoses and conducting thorough patient interviews.
