  2. PROJECT OBJECTIVES • Cost Reduction Without Change In Physical Properties.

  3. WHY COPPER ADDITION REQUIRED • For Ductile Iron we make different type of grades, 1) 450/12 2) 550/6 3) 500/7 4) 700/3 in which grade 450/12 without & other grades Copper addition required.

  4. OUR PRESENT SITUATION • Runner Risers of all grades received in mixed condition & no identified. • Above Runner Risers used any grade, so for 450/12 grade some % of copper content due to this probability of change in physical properties.

  8. BRAIN STORMING • Runner Risers (RR) can be identified as single button (0) for 450/12 grade & double button (00) for remaining grades. • Runner Risers can be separated & used separately . • Due to this % of copper addition will be less & cost reduces.

  11. Benifits From this charge calculation % Cu addition reduce to 0.35 % instead of 0.5 %. Copper addition reduce 0.15 %.i.e.0.150 gm for 100 kg metal.
