  12. DRK – The Kessler Companies Founded in 1970 by Donald R. Kessler as a real estate investment and development firm based in Louisville, Kentucky. Don Kessler became known as a pioneer in creative real estate transactions and one of the first to advocate real estate exchanging. In 1996 his son, Daniel R. Kessler, was given the opportunity to take over as president of the company. Dan Kessler is currently a licensed broker in Louisville Kentucky with extensive experience in real estate property management, development and exchanges. The Kessler Companies have successfully negotiated the sale, lease or exchange of over ninety five million dollars involving apartments, retail centers, office buildings, condominiums and development land. The Kessler Companies have managed a diverse portfolio of properties including retail centers, apartment complexes, small oceanfront hotels and office buildings in four states. Our staff is well versed in lease negotiations, budget planning, and property administration. In the area of development The Kessler Companies have built over 1,500 apartment units, several mixed use retail and office centers and two very successful condominium communities. The Kessler Companies oversaw the rezoning process, managed the construction and supervised the disposition or management of the properties based upon the investors requirements. Currently they are working to develop apartment communities in the central Florida market.
